The Tatterdemalion is the force unexpected, the force unrecognized, the force unanswered. He is the light in the skull, distorted and broken through the prism of one's eyes. His touch is the late-night inspiration, the ungovernable whimsy, the mad genius, the moment of terrible clarity. He waits around every corner to open a jar of moths that will beat and flutter under the passer-by's skin, and then watches in excitement as they run off to do things they'd never thought they'd do.

History

The Tatterdemalion's arrival was uncalled for. No one can quite determine his origins, and the occult world is traditionally incredibly divided when it comes to this: some say he is a God-from-Flesh, others pinpoint his birth being from a great sacrifice, the rest claim that he is a God-from-Light cast down by the Listless King long ago. There are some, however, that preach that the King-in-Rags is a God-from-Nowhere who managed to break into the House of the King in its early days. Perhaps all of them are correct, maybe none of them are; only the Hour himself knows the answer.
