The Clock Tower

The Clock Tower is a Fansus location accessible from the FNORD.

Description

The Clock Tower is one of the few constants in the Mansus. Visible from every point within the House, the time displayed on its dials changes relative to where the observer stands and which Hour rules that particular spot. It is the domain of The Vizier, and he resides at its topmost room amidst the clockwork and the paperwork. Where one would expect noise, a constant clicking and whirring, there is quiet. The bells the chime out the hours do so in silence. The air is chill inside. The bureaucracy within is perfectly efficient. If they were automatons it might make even the Engine weep.

Events

• I found myself in the upper floors of the Clock Tower. The Anaconda was visiting, and though the way to the top was barred I heard murmured secrets drift down the stairwells. When I woke, I could not speak for hours.
