Madame Munchy is the force that opens new paths when no path can be permitted. She weakens the boundaries so they might collapse and new ones could be made. She carves the square into the circle so it may fit into a circle-shaped hole. She breaks the lock on the door when the key had been lost. She lives in between and roams the world underneath.

Description

History

Madame Munchy has ascended so, so long ago-- before the Excision, even before the War on Heaven, when the House of the Sixty-Four became the House of the Twelve. She has survived a lot, and she certainly lived through much worse. When the Glory grew dim and imploded, when Nowhere became Somewhere, when the world was flayed alive, she was here.

In the Palace of Dissolution, she is one of the most staunch supporters of humankind.

Appearance

The Parting-of-the-Lips has oh so many teeth. The rest is negotiable.

Principles

Madame Munchy is Knock, for she opens both the things that can be opened and the things that cannot.
Madame Munchy is Edge, for she is always on the edge of conflict, adhering to the doctrine of force.
Madame Munchy is Grail, for she is always hungry for wounds.

Locations

The Within

The Labyrinthal is the collective name for the incredibly extensive door-riddled cave and tunnel system beneath the surface of the Moon left by Madame Munchy before the War of the Edifice. Time and distance don't work the same way as they do anywhere else, and the locals use this phenomenon to quickly travel between the underground cities, although the system is largely unexplored and quite dangerous. Naoned Communications Inc. has tried to seize a portion of the branches for itself in the past, which sparked a conflict between it and the local powers. The Lady of Teeth and The Eyes-and-Scales, infuriated by the Corporation's audacity and complete disregard of the Moon Law, helped the mortals to draw the greedy Hour back.
