Lock text: We need Winter or Lantern to suppress this curse. Otherwise, it will not keep us from our goal, but it will trouble us later.
Start text: Memories… memories of this place do not stay where they belong. We must temper our minds with Winter or Lantern, lest our own memories are knocked loose in the process.

Expeditions

  • A Lost Shrine
  • The Egyptian Port

Requirements

  • Winter (Invokes the Cuckoo)
  • Lantern (Invokes the Apple-in-the-Eye)

Winter Invocation

We call upon the Cuckoo

  • Winter 10: We call upon the Cuckoo, who keeps what she hoards. The power here will sink into the mud of her nest, the fate of all thieves who dare that place. Our minds will be safe.
  • Winter 5: We call upon the Cuckoo, who ends what she takes. This curse steals the minds of others, but does not end them. If we give it to her, she will have those minds forever. Our own memories shall stay within our grasp... Probably.
  • Winter 1: We call upon the Cuckoo, who owns the Face-Tailor. The Cuckoo knows well the powers that steal identities, and can protect us from them. However, her price might be the same as the curse's...
  • Winter Success: The curse falters! Our power cannot be resisted by the power that is here. We shall pass.
  • Winter Failure: We are lost! My name is... Your name is... We are... Who are we?

Lantern Invocation

We call upon the Apple-in-the-Eye

  • Lantern 10: We call upon the Tower of Treasures, who permits no equal. The power here will not best the power of the Glorious Lie. We will keep our memories intact.
  • Lantern 5: We call upon the Tower of Treasures, who shines. If we keep its light within our minds, it should ward off the power of Moth. Or perhaps it will be all we remember.
  • Lantern 1: We call upon the Tower of Treasures, who beckons. It cannot be forgotten once seen. But everything else might be...
  • Lantern Success: The curse fades. Our power is superior to the power that was here. We shall pass.
  • Lantern Failure: We are lost! My name is... Your name is... We are... Who are we?
