The Gilded Insect is the 12th god of the third fanus created by BeardedTree 24. its tarot card is the devil and its aspects are grail and edge.
lies and illusions, betrayal and blasphemy, injustice and deceit. The gilded Insect speaks honeyed words tempting mortals to make deals with him, granting power in exchange for “favours'. Once the Gilded Insect has ensnared someone he revels in their suffering, manipulating them into increasingly wicked deeds.
History
Once the Gilded insect was a mortal man with mortal troubles and mortal dreams. That was until he came across a forgotten corpse part from a from stone god. Upon contact the with the corpse part this man was imbued with eldritch energies. This energy restored his youth and vitality, but it wasn't enough: so, he collected more growing perfect in mind and body. But it still wasn't enough and so he searched far and wide to find these corpse parts by any means necessary. With parts from the Mangle and the Bait, the man enacted a great ritual an ascended to hourhood. Now a beatific hour called the Gilded this new hour greeted his new colleagues and settled in to his new life. Some time later the gilded became bitter and jealous of his colleagues and sought further power. While the larger corpse parts were kept better protected the gilded collected and used smaller parts. All was going well untill the Gilded’s greed and hubris became its downfall, stealing a part of the Omnipede and subsumeing it. As it was part of a living whole, the Gilded’s body was horribly mutated, his lower half mutanting into monstrous centipede. Now known as the Gilded insect, he seeks to return to his original form and become the sole power in the Mansus.
