The Anvil meets with the Silver Owl, an enigmatic Hour thought to have come from Nowhere in the distant past. As the time of the Ignition draws near, the Owl becomes aware of the Sixth History and attempts to warn the Anvil of what's to come.

'"I will descend, and I will meet my end at the Upstart's hand', proclaims the Anvil, despite the Owl's pleas. 'Since our first meeting, I've known that you bear my mark, Masterpiece. Now I understand why. How could I leave you unforged?'
