The Mother Bear was Born from the first Hour to arise in Stones of the houseOther Place, awakening The Cub still holds an echo of power from her den of stone made in what was perhaps the ruin of an earlier house, perhaps something else. She awoke It burst from Stone, and her stirrings breathed new life into the Mansus, brightening den with a fresh strength that the Glory and opening old WaysHouse hadn't felt in a long time. She was the first to stir, followed just after by the Cub, who was birthed from the DenThings Started Happening. == Description ==The Mother Bear is the gate watcherCub looked first downwards, The First and Final Judge. Her power manifests as a force holding shut the door to those who do not belong or as a final judge first fractures in matters of history appeared. Then it looked up and saw the gods. Ursa Major is most often depicted as a great bear standing on its hind legsGlory, scarred distant and battered by conflictunreachable but burning with such irresistible power. The Cub's first form is of a Bear with a hide of stars but it has many besides. It has appeared as many things to many peoples over its time but always as something young and powerful, from a wolf to a handsome warrior. It is worshipped by those who fight to defend what is most precious to them, family and country, and from those, it recruits a small few to serve it for eternity.

I care not for my own mortality, only the preservation of all that is. I will walk through the house, seeing my enemies, those that I've banished from where I was before, those who made me what I am today. My brothers in arms have welcomed me into the great legion, that we might serve Her. I see the light creeping through the boughs of The Spirarch and feel the rumbling power of The Den, it is for the preservation of this grandeur that I exist.

I found myself all at once in the entrance of a great cave, but one strangely familiar to me, reminding me of an old home I once had. So familiar it was to me, I laid down there and slept. When I awoke the next morning in my own bed I felt more rested than I have been for a very long time
